The TSC GT40 is based on a choice of either a replica steel Monocoque chassis or a strong, light, fully triangulated spaceframe chassis.

We are the only manufacturer worldwide to offer both types of chassis construction.

Every chassis frame is supplied complete with all mountings and brackets welded in the correct position to ease assembly.

Both chassis types are available in a choice of right or left hand drive.

Both types of chassis construction have advantages and disadvantages. The customer must decide which is most suitable for their application.

The Monocoque chassis requires no panelling during the build saving time but Monocoques are very difficult to repair in the event of accident damage and are much heavier than a spaceframe.

Even aluminium Monocoques suffer a weight penalty due to the material thickness needed to produce the required stiffness for road use.

Also they have many water trap areas leading to corrosion which is a common problem on all original GT40's.

The Spaceframe chassis is light weight and easy to repair in the event of accident damage but the chassis frame must be panelled in thin aluminium sheet during the build giving the same overall appearance as a Monocoque.

The Spaceframe is much more durable and more suitable for the rigours of road use conditions.

To ensure accuracy every chassis frame along with all wishbone and suspension links are MIG welded in precision made jigs and fixtures.
For taller drivers a lowered seat option can be incorporated into the chassis frame.
